Labor and trade union strikes in Iran reach the fourth day

Reports and videos indicate the continuation and expansion of labor and trade union protests and strikes in Iran. These strikes, which have been ongoing in various industrial units in recent days, continued on Monday, the 24th of April.

Among the strikes, those by workers in oil, gas, petrochemical, steel, and other industrial sectors entered their fourth day on Monday. Workers are continuing their strikes with demands for a 79% wage increase, timely payment of wages, a work schedule of 20 days on and 10 days off, insurance, improved transportation, meals, health, and accommodation conditions.

The independent channel of the Haft Tappeh sugarcane workers also published a statement on Monday supporting the strikes in Iran and called for all Iranian workers to join these protests.

This round of labor strikes began on Friday and has expanded. Reports received indicate that the number of factories and companies where workers have gone on strike since Friday has reached around 45 units.
