Last year, 3,000 doctors applied to emigrate from Iran, says a member of parliament

Mohammad Pakmehr, a member of the Islamic Consultative Assembly in Iran, has stated that last solar year, 3,000 doctors and nurses obtained technical certificates to emigrate from the country, and it is predicted that this number will increase this year.

Mr. Pakmehr told the IRNA news agency that Gulf countries and Germany are the main destinations attracting Iranian specialists to their healthcare sectors.

An uncertain economic outlook, political and social dissatisfaction, and an unstable job market have been described as factors increasing emigration from Iran in recent years.
