Hamid Nouri’s life imprisonment sentence was upheld

The Court of Appeals in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, announced its decision on the appeal request in the life imprisonment conviction case for Hamid Nouri on Tuesday, December 19th, 28 Azar.

According to this ruling, the life imprisonment sentence for this former judicial official of the Islamic Republic, who was convicted on two charges of war crimes and murder by the lower court, was confirmed.

In addition to the life imprisonment sentence, Hamid Nouri has also been ordered to pay compensation to the families of the victims and political prisoners.

In Sweden, a life imprisonment sentence is equivalent to 25 years of imprisonment. According to the Stockholm court’s ruling, Nouri has also been sentenced to deportation from Sweden after serving his prison term.
