Lifting of Speech Restriction on Tabriz Representative

Mojtaba Zolnouri, the head of the Supervisory Board on the Conduct of Representatives, announced the lifting of the speech restriction on the Tabriz representative by this board.

The Deputy Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, while announcing this news, said that we reviewed the issue of Alireza Beigi’s speech restriction in the first session of the Supervisory Board on the Conduct of Representatives.

His speech and address were not completely and permanently canceled or banned. Rather, based on a letter that the Supervisory Board on the Conduct of Representatives had written to the Presidium of the Assembly before my responsibility, they had requested the Presidium to postpone his speech to another opportunity to avoid creating new sensitivities and controversies in society, delaying it by a few days.
