Lighting any fire in Israel has been prohibited

Lighting any fires in Israel has been banned.

More than 150 rescue teams and firefighting aircraft are still working to extinguish the wildfire in Israel’s forests.

This incident is said to be the worst wildfire in Israel’s history.

The fire, exacerbated by strong winds and high temperatures, has not yet been contained.

Following this wildfire, lighting fires and setting up barbecues, which is a tradition of the Independence Day celebration coinciding with a holiday this year, has been prohibited throughout the country.

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, has declared a national emergency and warned that the city of Jerusalem is at risk from the fires.

However, some of the highways leading to the city have reopened, and rail transport services have also resumed.

So far, 17 firefighters have been injured, with two of them hospitalized.

More than 20 people are being treated for smoke inhalation and burns.
