Lotos Cinema in Tehran has been closed.

Several media outlets have reported that Lotos Cinema in Tehran has been closed.

Lotos Cinema is where Iranian actress Pantea Bahram attended the screening of the final episode of the series ‘Poost-e Shir’ without mandatory hijab.

Following this appearance, Habib Ilbeigi, the deputy of evaluation and supervision at the Cinema Organization, announced that the manager of Lotos Cinema has been dismissed.

Media outlets are now reporting that the ticket purchase link for this cinema has been disabled.
