Mahmoud Abbas: Even if my life is in danger, I will go to Gaza

According to the French news agency on Thursday, August 16, Mahmoud Abbas, the President of the Palestinian Authority, emphasized in a speech at the Turkish Parliament in Ankara that even if his life is in danger, he will travel to Gaza. He also declared that the Palestinian people will never accept a solution that leads to the separation of Gaza and the West Bank.

In remarks that were met with applause from Turkish lawmakers, Abbas said, ‘I have decided to go to Gaza with other brothers from the Palestinian leadership. I will do this even if it costs me my life.’ Mahmoud Abbas added, ‘Our lives are not more valuable than the life of a child.’
