Mahsa Act Passed in the United States

The Mahsa Act was passed in the US

The United States House Foreign Affairs Committee has approved the bill known as the Mahsa Amini Act today

If this bill becomes law, it will require the US government to sanction the Leader and President of Iran for human rights violations and destabilizing regional countries

Additionally, the bill calls for sanctions on the Leadership Institution, the Presidential Institution, officials appointed by the Iranian Leader, and the network of foundations and companies under their supervision

The Mahsa Amini Act will also be reviewed in the House Financial and Judiciary Committees and then sent to the House floor for a vote

So far, more than 90 representatives from both the Democratic and Republican parties have supported this bill

Turning this resolution into law requires a similar action in the Senate
