The government spokesperson Mohajerani says that the increase in the dollar’s price does not benefit the government.

Fatemeh Mohajerani, the spokesperson for the government of Pezeshkian, wrote in a message on X, reacting to some speculations about the rise in the dollar’s price, that the government does not profit from the increase in the dollar’s price.

The rise in the dollar’s price does not increase or decrease the government’s revenue.

The government’s profit lies in stability, which enhances both its material and social capital.

She said that some people’s attempts to link currency fluctuations to the government are more about covering up their previous incorrect analyses, nothing more.

Following the increase in tensions between Tehran and Washington, the dollar’s price in Iran saw a significant rise, even surpassing the 100,000 toman mark.

After the first round of negotiations between Iran and the United States in Oman, the dollar’s price decreased somewhat.
