Majid Kazemi’s sister requests the judiciary to provide evidence of Majid’s presence at the murder scene
Somayeh Kazemi, sister of Majid Kazemi, one of the individuals sentenced to death in connection with the Isfahan house case, has requested in a conversation with Shargh that judicial authorities present evidence showing her brother was at the location at the time the murder occurred. Ms. Kazemi stated that the only evidence in this case consists of hearsay, with one person saying they heard from someone else that Majid was there, and another saying someone else told them Majid was present. We want evidence to be presented that shows these martyrs were killed with Majid’s weapon. We have no intention of causing unrest or anything else.
Somayeh Kazemi stated that the verdict only mentions that, if deemed appropriate by the pardon commission and with the approval of the victims’ families, a reduction in the sentence could be considered. However, unfortunately, the pardon commission said not to come here anymore and not to hope for a pardon, as Majid has three private complainants who will never consent, and the public prosecutor of Isfahan is also demanding the execution of the sentence.
