Majid Takht-Ravanchi: Gaining concessions from Iran through pressure is an illusion.
Majid Takht-Ravanchi, the political deputy of Iran’s Foreign Minister, said on the eve of the second round of indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States, which are being held today in Geneva, that no one should be trusted or given excessive attention, especially if they have a history of breaking promises.
He noted that the Iranian government does not have a lobby in the United States and added that we must be careful not to be bitten from the same hole again.
Takht-Ravanchi also stated that if, hypothetically, the other side has the illusion that they can gain concessions from Iran through pressure, we must prove to them in practice that they are deluded.
The second round of indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States will be held today in Geneva, with Oman acting as a mediator.
