Malavan Club Requested the Presence of Their Female Fans in the Stadium

The Malavan Club requested the presence of its female fans in the stadium

While the ban on women entering sports stadiums in Iran continues, on Monday, the Malavan Club officially requested from two bodies the presence of its female fans in the Sirous Ghayeghran Stadium in Bandar Anzali.

In a letter dated Monday, April 10, addressed to the Bandar Anzali Security Council and the Football Federation, the Malavan Club, noting that the infrastructure of the Sirous Ghayeghran Stadium is suitable for the entry of families and women, requested permission for its female fans to enter the stadium for the 26th week match of the Iranian Premier League against Tractor Tabriz.

The club’s request for women’s presence in the stadium comes despite the Vice President of the Football Federation announcing last February that the infrastructure for women’s presence in stadiums is not yet ready.

Nevertheless, the public relations of the Malavan Club, in its announcement published on Monday, referred to the readiness for female spectators to enter stadiums, quoting the President of the Iranian Football Federation.
