Malykeh's Harsh Criticism of Queiroz and Ghalenoei

Meylikhan’s sharp criticism of Queiroz and Ghalenoei

Mohammad Meylikhan, the former head coach of the national football team, said our officials have not worked well in recent years, resulting in today’s problems. I have repeatedly said that no country can live in isolation.

Now, at the end of the year, our relations with Saudi Arabia have improved, and I hope this trend continues. We always only boast about our 2,500-year history, but we have not progressed as much as some countries that are only 200 or 300 years old.

Let me refrain from commenting on the new head coach. However, I have always supported Iranian coaches, but one of our current problems in national football is that no one respects anyone.

You saw in the World Cup how Queiroz, whom everyone said the players respected, behaved. After the national team scored against Wales, Karim Ansarifard was practically breaking Queiroz’s neck.

Meylikhan emphasized that I am not supposed to replace the new national team coach and I am not pursuing such talks. I love my country’s national team and wish them success, but they have an extremely tough task ahead.
