Mandatory Retirement for 9 Professors

The news site Rouydad 24 reports that a mandatory retirement order has been issued for 9 professors at Azad University.

Dr. Sousan Safavardi, Dr. Aliakbar Amini, Dr. Sajedi, Dr. Alireza Radmehr, Dr. Hossein Tafazoli, Dr. Didokht Sadeghi, Dr. Mohammad Ali Khosravi, Dr. Malektaj Khosravi, and Dr. Bijan Niri are the 9 professors who have received the retirement order.

Safavardi, one of these individuals, has stated that over the past two to three years, based on the new dean of the Faculty of Political Science at Azad University’s policy, more than 15 people from outside the faculty who were adjunct lecturers were brought in, and sometimes our specialized courses were given to them. With the public statement by the dean that teaching should be done by revolutionary individuals, we have witnessed a soft purge in the faculty in recent semesters.

Safavardi has said that we, the 9 professors who have been issued mandatory retirement orders under the pretext of the social security retirement age, have repeatedly been accused of being anti-revolutionary. The exclusion of our adjunct teaching rights for the current semester was also justified with the same reasoning.
