Marzieh Boroumand: I am quick-tempered but not an extremist.

Fortunately, I have a position and background that is generally respected and trusted by various groups and factions. Therefore, I thought I could use this position to benefit the culture of cinema, the art, and the cinema family.

The truth is that the budget the Ministry of Culture gives to the House of Cinema is actually the House of Cinema’s own money because it was initially supposed to receive 2% of film sales, which apparently did not happen except for one or two years.

Right here, I invite some people who write anonymously or without a name on certain social networks, suggesting that the House of Cinema should be closed, to come and have a conversation with us to see if the existence of the House of Cinema is necessary or not.

Unfortunately, recent events have shown us the harsh and ugly face of history, and even the beautiful image that religion had shown us has unfortunately turned ugly due to the actions of some who claim to be religious, and this pains artists more than anyone.
