The Mashhad Fire Department reported that the explosion of a gas pipe caused the destruction of several shops.

The cause of the explosion was announced to be the collision of an excavator with the gas pipe during an excavation.

Majid Farhadi, the CEO of the Mashhad Fire Department, said that a severe gas leak had occurred, leading to an explosion that destroyed four shops, shattered the windows of several commercial units around Tabarsi Square, damaged several passenger cars, and injured four people present at the scene.
