Masoud Pezeshkian appointed Mohammad Javad Zarif as the Strategic Deputy to the President.

Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, appointed Mohammad Javad Zarif as the Strategic Deputy to the President.

Mr. Pezeshkian, in another decree, appointed Mohammad Jafar Ghaempanah as the Executive Deputy to the President and the Head of the Presidential Office.

Mr. Zarif served as the Foreign Minister during Hassan Rouhani’s presidency and, after Masoud Pezeshkian’s victory in the presidential election, he was appointed as the head of the Strategic Council for selecting the members of the fourteenth government cabinet.
