Masoud Pezeshkian in Mashhad: I will address the issue of harsh treatment of girls
Masoud Pezeshkian, speaking to his supporters in the Beheshti Hall in Mashhad, said we must join hands for every problem and not allow one group to do whatever they want.
Pezeshkian pointed out that during the debates, someone said, ‘I won’t let you become president.’ At that time, I said people know and decide who will and who won’t. You must participate in these elections to determine your share. Those who don’t vote should know that if you don’t want them, come to the polls. We must have our share. Iran belongs to Iranians.
He added that freedom is the right of religions, sects, and all humans. Independence, freedom, Islamic Republic; but we sacrificed freedom. We expel and suspend anyone who speaks in universities. If I come to power, I won’t allow anyone to be expelled because of their beliefs. No teacher should be answered with a baton.
Masoud Pezeshkian continued: It is not fitting for our girls and women to be treated improperly on the streets. We have no right to treat them harshly. We will address these issues.
