Masoud Pezeshkian: The world has witnessed Iran’s tolerance and peace-seeking
Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, described the Islamic Republic’s behavior regarding the U.S. naval blockade as tolerant in a message on the social media platform X on Thursday, May 10th, and said the world has witnessed Iran’s tolerance and peace-seeking.
Pezeshkian added that what is being carried out under the name of a naval blockade is an extension of military operations against a nation that is merely paying the cost of its resistance and independence.
He described this action by the U.S. as oppressive and emphasized that the continuation of this oppressive approach is intolerable.
On Thursday, CNN reported, citing its sources, that Donald Trump, the President of the United States, is seeking the continuation of the naval blockade of Iran’s ports and that his team has prepared the groundwork for extending this situation, including the long-term closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Trump views the blockade as his main tool to force Tehran to accept Washington’s conditions.
