Masoud Shamsnejad, a licensed attorney, was prevented by the Tabriz Revolutionary Court from representing Tohid Darvish.
Masoud Shamsnejad, a licensed attorney, announced that the first branch of the Tabriz Revolutionary Court has prevented him from representing Tohid Loqman Darvish, a prisoner accused of ‘moharebeh’ (enmity against God).
He wrote on his Instagram that despite the clear emphasis of the legislator on the extension of the attorneys listed under Article 48 to the investigative stage of a crime and the prosecution, and the requirement for the courts handling the case and appeals to adhere to this, on the 8th of Dey (December 29), the first branch of the Tabriz Revolutionary Court refused to accept my representation for Loqman Darvish, a prisoner accused of ‘moharebeh’.
According to the Kurdpa website, Tohid Loqman Darvish, a Kurdish citizen from the village of Gernavik in the Qotur district of Khoy County, was arrested in Tabriz on the 7th of Mehr (September 29) and accused of ‘moharebeh’ by the General and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office of the city.
