Mearsheimer: America Should Not Provoke Iran into a Strong Reaction

Mearsheimer: The US should not provoke Iran into a severe response

John Mearsheimer, a professor at the University of Chicago, said that efforts to force Iran into submission will not yield results.

He claimed that even after the elections, the US does not have an effective military option against Iran and is reluctant to bring its ships closer to Iran due to concerns about them being damaged.

Mearsheimer warned that Iran should not be pushed to a point where, as he put it, it resorts to a doomsday response.
