Meeting of Iranian Diplomats with Taliban Foreign Minister in Kabul
The Taliban Foreign Minister, in a meeting with the acting head of the Iranian embassy and Iranian diplomats in Kabul, emphasized the expansion of relations between the two parties. In this meeting, Hassan Kazemi Qomi, head of the delegation, and Hossein Mortazavi, deputy of the Iranian embassy in Kabul, were present.
Zia Ahmad Takal, deputy spokesperson of the Taliban’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, wrote on Twitter that they discussed and reviewed the latest achievements, political developments, and the commercial and economic situation of the Islamic Emirate, the Taliban government.
Mr. Muttaqi thanked Iran for handing over Afghan prisoners in Iran to the Taliban government officials and it has been stated that this process continues.
Mr. Takal quoted Mr. Qomi as saying that Iran is committed to further cooperation with the Taliban government and that the country is ready to purchase Afghan products at a fair price and to provide comprehensive cooperation with Afghan farmers in the field of agricultural development.
In this meeting, in addition to regional issues and ongoing events, discussions and exchanges were held regarding the development of trade and the acceleration of railway work.
