Mehdi Alfti won Iran’s first gymnastics medal in Asian history.

On the final day of the Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships, Iranian gymnast Mehdi Alfti stood in first place in the pommel horse final with an average score of fourteen and a half, earning the gold medal.

In this competition, Carlos Yulo from the Philippines, who was the champion at the Paris Olympics, stood in third place, and the Chinese athlete came second.

This is considered the first gold medal in the history of Iranian gymnastics at the Asian Championships.
