According to reports, Mehdi Zare Ashkezari, who was arrested for participating in protests in Iran, went into a coma due to torture hours after his temporary release and died 20 days later in the hospital.

Reports indicate that he suffered facial injuries, with his nose and teeth broken. It is said that Mr. Ashkezari was an Iranian student studying in Italy, and news of his death has been reflected in the media of that country.

He was born in 1991, and it is said that he went to Iran due to his mother’s death and also participated in the Tehran protests.

His burial was supposed to take place on December 31st in the Ashkezar cemetery.
