Member of the Parliamentary Social Commission: The Reduction of Dowry Has Not Been Welcomed by Representatives

A member of the Parliament’s Social Commission stated that the reduction of dowry has not been welcomed by representatives.

Ali Kord, a member of the Parliament’s Social Commission

Neither a high dowry nor a low dowry is effective

Personally, I do not agree with the Judiciary and Legal Commission’s proposal for 14 coins as dowry, nor with the government’s emphasis on 110 coins.

I find 30 coins to be a reasonable, sensible, and executable amount while preserving the dignity of both parties.

The proposal to reduce the dowry will likely be discussed in the Social Commission as well, and I will certainly express my opinion there.

However, the reduction of dowry to 14 coins has not been met with much enthusiasm among the general representatives.
