Pad, a member of the special committee for reviewing incidents, stated that we paid around 800 billion tomans to those affected by the nationwide protests of 2022.
Sakineh Sadat Pad, a member of the special committee for reviewing the incidents of 2022, said in an interview with the Haft-e Sobh news outlet that, according to the committee’s summary, approximately 800 billion tomans were paid to those affected by the nationwide protests of 2022 through the government and its institutions.
Ms. Pad did not specify in this interview how and to which group of those affected by the nationwide protests in Iran this amount was paid.
In her remarks, she promised that a full report would be made available to the public and the media, stating that in many cases, the insurance of the victims or the identity of the perpetrator was not determined, but all these issues were addressed.
During the nationwide protests in Iran in 2022, which erupted after the death of Mahsa Amini in the custody of the morality police, a large number of people were killed and injured. Many of those affected, especially those who lost their sight due to rubber bullet shots by the authorities, were forced to leave Iran under continued government pressure and to seek treatment.
