Metro Officials' Reaction to Gas Release in Metro: It Was Construction Dust

Metro officials’ reaction to gas release in the subway was construction dust

In response to the news published this morning, Masoud Dorosti, CEO of Tehran Metro and suburbs, denied the report of gas release at Eram Sabz metro station.

He told the Shargh network that the observed dust was due to construction activities and added that they emphasized stopping these activities.

Yesterday, following the release of a video showing smoke rising from a subway wagon at Shahid Beheshti station in Tehran, the metro’s public relations confirmed the smoke release but said that a technical fault in one of the trains was the cause of the smoke and strongly denied rumors of toxic smoke release in the metro.
