Microsoft says Iran is behind the hacker attack on Charlie Hebdo’s website

According to Microsoft security researchers, on Friday, a hacker team supported by the Iranian government stole and exposed customer information of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.

This magazine was targeted by a hacker attack in early January after publishing cartoons of Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic. According to Charlie Hebdo, publishing these cartoons was part of the magazine’s media campaign in support of anti-government protests in Iran.
