Minister of Information: Resistance Against Hijab Seeks to Change the Nature of the Islamic Republic

The Minister of Intelligence claims resistance against hijab is aimed at altering the nature of the Islamic Republic.

The Minister of Intelligence of the Islamic Republic claimed that after the nationwide protests of 2022, which he says failed, the overthrow movement has changed its approach and is now seeking to alter the nature of the Islamic Republic.

On Wednesday, June 28, Esmail Khatib, in a speech, considered resistance against compulsory hijab, which he described as a social norm-breaking act, as one of the methods to change the nature of the Iranian government.

According to the Ministry of Intelligence’s website, he said in this regard that the enemy seeks to create conflicts between the branches of power, social classes, ethnic groups, and religions, and in social and ongoing issues like hijab and the like.

Khatib also described networking, political, social, media, and psychological activities, along with slogans of structural reform or transformation within Iran, as other methods used by the enemy to change the nature of the Islamic Republic.
