Mohammad Ali Kamfirouzi, a lawyer, has reported the transfer of Melika Qara Gozlou, a student in prison, to Aminabad Psychiatric Hospital in the south of Tehran.

He held judicial and security officials responsible for Ms. Qara Gozlou’s well-being.

Mr. Kamfirouzi wrote that several psychologists and psychiatrists had previously certified that his client cannot endure imprisonment.

Melika Qara Gozlou, a 22-year-old journalism student at Allameh Tabataba’i University, was arrested for posting a video of herself without a hijab on Instagram and sentenced to 3 years and 8 months in prison and social deprivation.

According to Melika’s lawyer, she was recently re-arrested due to fabricated charges by the security office of Allameh Tabataba’i University and intelligence.
