Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of Iran's Parliament, Calls for More Actions Against France

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, has called for more actions against France.

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, in today’s session, described the publication of a caricature of Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic, as an insult by the French magazine to the wise leader of the revolution.

He also considered the publication of this caricature as a sign of the failure of the unrest project, but did not explain how protests, street gatherings, and nightly slogans continued even yesterday.

Mr. Ghalibaf also urged the Foreign Ministry to continue its reciprocal actions against the French government with authority.

The French magazine Charlie Hebdo published caricatures of Ayatollah Khamenei in its recent issue, and following this, Iran’s Foreign Ministry announced in a statement that it would initially close the French Institute for Iranian Studies.
