Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf: The unrest is subsiding
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, in today’s open session of the Islamic Consultative Assembly on Sunday, October 30, gave a speech before the agenda and said,
The Zionist regime and the regional reactionaries should know that they cannot hide behind the mask of ISIS or the London-based televisions and must be accountable for the bloodshed in Iran.
This criminal terrorist attack on the Shah Cheragh shrine proved that the enemies of our dear Iran are lurking to disrupt the country’s security, create disturbances in the daily lives of people, instigate war and conflict in cities, and also seek the disintegration of the country. These crimes have definitively shown that the enemy is determined to disrupt the country’s security, and from today, thinkers and influencers must clearly separate their path from the violent and criminal elements.
Distancing from violence and overthrow is a necessary condition for achieving results and noticeable change as a result of protests. The political system of the country, due to its foundation on the people’s will, is the definite platform for any kind of reform and change to ensure public interests. Of course, part of this change is also reform in the governance system within the framework of the Islamic Republic’s political system, which should lead to new governance.
Considering the precise judgment and wise decision of the noble and vigilant people of dear Iran in not accompanying the violent protests, it is clear that this unrest is subsiding and coming to an end.
