Mohammad Khatami: The Country is in a Critical Situation

Mohammad Khatami says the country is in a sensitive situation.

Seyyed Mohammad Khatami, in a meeting on the eve of Teacher’s Day, said that one should not approach the complex affairs of the country with closed and biased mindsets.

Our hope to overcome crises and open new horizons in all fields lies with the institution of the university and its academics.

The first task of the seventh parliament was to stabilize prices, and we saw that inflation and liquidity increased day by day.

They set aside the fourth plan, which was a very progressive and good plan, organized with the perspective of foresight.

We must learn from experiences; only one year remains from our 20-year vision plan, and we must see why we have not approached its final indicators.

We must address the existing issues, constraints, and crises with expertise and entrust the tasks to knowledgeable, clear, and awake experts.

The groundwork for free and effective dialogue among experts and specialists in society should be provided so that they can express their opinions and bring these ideas into practice.

Khatami concluded by adding that these days the country is in a sensitive situation. God willing, may God reduce the harm of enemies, and in the current situation, we no longer witness new tensions in the regional and national life, and may our society be able to pursue the path of democratic development with health and security. In any case, our hope always lies with the institution of the university and dear academics to overcome crises and open new horizons in all areas.
