Mohammad Mokhber, the First Vice President, has accepted the invitation to visit Saudi Arabia

Mohammad Mokhber, the First Vice President, stated that the President has accepted the invitation to travel to Saudi Arabia.

Mehr News Agency in Iran reports, quoting Mohammad Mokhber, the First Vice President of the country, that Ebrahim Raisi has accepted King Salman’s invitation to visit Riyadh.

Mohammad Mokhber said King Salman extended an invitation to the President, which has been positively responded to, and hopefully good things will happen.

He did not mention a possible date for this trip.

Officials of the Islamic Republic government said on March 19 that King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia invited Ebrahim Raisi to visit Riyadh.

However, at that time, it was reported that Saudi Arabia had not yet reacted to this news, and the state media of this country had not mentioned such a letter.

A vice president of Iran, however, said Mr. Raisi welcomed this invitation.

Iran and Saudi Arabia agreed on March 10 to resume relations, a deal brokered by China.

At that time, it was said that the foreign ministers of the two countries would soon meet to reopen the embassies.
