Mohammad Saleh Meftah, Former Deputy of the Command for the Promotion of Virtue, Says Continued Filtering of Instagram and WhatsApp is Against the Constitution

Mohammad Saleh Moftakh, former deputy of the Headquarters for the Promotion of Virtue, says the continuation of Instagram and WhatsApp filtering is against the constitution.

The continuation of Instagram and WhatsApp filtering, based on the decision of the National Security Council, is in conflict with Article 79 of the constitution.

Not only this decision, but many long-term restrictions that were previously imposed during the Corona period by the National Task Force for Combating Corona, which were infringing on people’s freedom, had exactly the same issue, and extensive discussions about this were repeatedly raised by legal experts.

Regarding the ruling on filtering Instagram and WhatsApp, the exact same conditions exist, and this decision is in conflict with the law and Article 79 of the constitution.
