Mohammad Taghi Akbarnejad: I have been under pressure for forced confessions.

Mohammad Taghi Akbarnejad, a scholar from the Qom seminary who has been arrested by the IRGC intelligence forces, spoke about his detention conditions in a voice call from Qom prison.

Mr. Akbarnejad says that after his arrest, he was held in solitary confinement in security detention centers for 14 days and was pressured to give forced confessions.

According to Mr. Akbarnejad, security agencies have exerted significant pressure on needy families in society to force them to file complaints against him, claiming that I, as a representative of the leadership, have spoken with them and misled them.

Mohammad Taghi Akbarnejad, a scholar from the Qom seminary and a critic of the policies of Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic, was arrested by the IRGC intelligence officers on February 17 and transferred to an unknown location.

This seminary scholar, who has a record of judicial confrontations, had criticized the policies of the Islamic Republic and its leader on social networks, including Instagram.
