Mohiuddin Ebrahimi was executed

According to the Kurdistan Human Rights Network, in the early hours of Friday, March 17, Mohiuddin Ebrahimi, a Kurdish political prisoner, was executed in Urmia Central Prison.

The network also reported that the execution of at least four other prisoners related to drug charges was carried out in this prison.

On Thursday, after Mohiuddin Ebrahimi was transferred to solitary confinement, his family was summoned to Urmia prison for a final visit. At the same time, political and human rights activists on social media called on the international community to urgently demand that the Islamic Republic halt the execution of this political prisoner.

Mohiuddin Ebrahimi, 43 years old and from Oshnavieh, was injured and arrested on November 3, 2017, in one of the villages of Oshnavieh County by gunfire from the intelligence forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. After his arrest, he was transferred to the IRGC intelligence detention center in Urmia.
