Mohsen Borhani, a lawyer, was summoned to court.

Mohsen Borhani, a lawyer and faculty member at the University of Tehran, announced on Twitter on the evening of Monday, May 1st, that he has been summoned.

Mr. Borhani, who holds a PhD in Criminal Law and Criminology and is a graduate of the Qom Seminary, has repeatedly declared the actions of government officials and responsible bodies like the police, in relation to the arrest of individuals, sealing of shops, restaurants, and other businesses, and sending warning messages and summonses for not adhering to mandatory hijab laws, to be against religious laws and has challenged these types of actions since the killing of Mahsa Amini.

On Monday evening, he tweeted the famous poem ‘Three Hundred Red Roses, One Christian Rose’ to announce that he has been summoned to court.
