Mohsen Borhani, Lawyer: The Killer of the Late Ajami is Unknown, Therefore Blood Money Should Have Been Paid

Mohsen Borhani, a lawyer, stated that the killer of the late Ajamian is unknown, thus blood money should have been paid.

Mohsen Borhani, who holds a PhD in criminal law and criminology and is a faculty member at the University of Tehran, criticized the issuance and execution of the death sentence for Mohammad Mehdi Karami and Mohammad Hosseini on his Twitter account, stating that they did not commit premeditated murder.

This lawyer wrote that it was not premeditated murder because more than twenty people struck the late Ajamian.

He then asked which blow caused his death and answered that it is unclear.

Mr. Borhani further wrote that with the elimination of the claim of premeditated murder, we are faced with a situation where the killer is unknown, therefore blood money should have been paid; perhaps this is why a retribution sentence was not issued.
