Mohsen Hashemi: The government must adhere to the constitutional principles of protest and referendum.

Mohsen Hashemi Rafsanjani in an interview with the Etemad newspaper.

These days, the people’s condition is not good at all, and solutions must be found to improve their situation. In the country, since the space for legal protests is not available, political movements lack leadership. Therefore, during crises, it is not possible to engage in dialogue with these movements.

Articles 27 and 57 of the constitution recognize the principle of protest and referendum, and the government must adhere to these principles. Through this, dialogue can be established, and the groundwork for overcoming the crisis can be laid.
