Mohsen Gharati, head of the Prayer Establishment Committee, says the presence of teenagers in protests means teachers have not been successful.
According to Tasnim, Mohsen Gharati, the head of the Prayer Establishment Committee in Iran, commented on the participation of teenagers in the ongoing protests. He said, in the recent unrest, we witnessed the presence of some teenagers, meaning a generation that has been educated by the teachers of the Islamic Republic, and this shows that some of our teachers have not been successful in properly educating students.
On December 19, Gharati, speaking to student-teachers at Farhangian University in Kerman, said that teachers should raise children who perform prayers and understand that a high school or bachelor’s degree without prayer is worthless.
In the latest statistics from the Iran Human Rights organization based in Norway, out of at least 469 protesters killed in the current protests in Iran, at least 63 were under the age of 18, with 9 of these children being girls.
