Morocco Denies Visa to Iranian Karate Team

The Karate Federation of Iran said Morocco did not issue visas to the Iranian karate team.

The Karate Federation of Iran announced that Morocco has refused to issue visas to the Iranian karate team.

The Iranian team was supposed to participate in the Karate 1 Premier League competitions in Morocco, scheduled to be held from June 1 to June 3.

The Karate Federation of Iran considers the reason for the visa denial to be political and says that about a month ago, it had provided the necessary documents to the Moroccan Karate Federation and the World Karate Federation.

This organization stated that despite the Iranian Karate Federation’s efforts through various channels and even requests from the World Karate Federation, Morocco refused to issue visas to Iranian representatives for the Karate 1 competitions in Morocco, and the Iranian karatekas lost the opportunity to participate in these competitions.

Iranian media have reported that, besides Iran, Morocco has also refused to issue visas for athletes from Libya and Chinese Taipei.
