Moscow warns Europe that the threat of sanctions against Iran is a destabilizing factor.
The Russian Foreign Ministry says that if European powers activate the snapback mechanism against Iran, Moscow will not support this action.
Meanwhile, Britain, France, and Germany have given Iran less than a week until the end of August to find a diplomatic solution to its nuclear issue. Otherwise, they will activate the mechanism for the automatic reinstatement of UN sanctions.
At the same time, it has been reported that a new round of nuclear negotiations between Iran and these three European countries will be held in Geneva tomorrow.
In a statement provided to the economic newspaper Kommersant, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that the threats by Britain, Germany, and France to activate the mechanism for reinstating lifted UN sanctions against Iran are a serious factor in creating instability.
The Kommersant newspaper also quoted the Russian Foreign Ministry as saying that Europeans only support diplomacy and negotiation on paper, but their behavior makes achieving this goal more difficult and raises doubts about their motivation to solve the problems they themselves raise.
