Mostafa Nili, the lawyer for women’s rights activists in Gilan, has been sentenced to one to nine years in prison.
Mostafa Nili, an attorney, told the Shargh newspaper that the verdict for a group of women’s rights activists in Gilan, who were detained for a period last year, has been issued in the preliminary court, and these activists have been sentenced to one to nine years in prison.
Mr. Nili, who is the lawyer for Forough Samieenia and Jelveh Javaheri, two of the defendants in this case, told the Shargh newspaper on Wednesday that Ms. Forough Samieenia has been sentenced to 3 years, 6 months, and 1 day in prison for the charge of assembly and collusion with the intent to disrupt national security, and to 2 years, 7 months, and 16 days in prison for the charge of membership in an illegal group. Ms. Jelveh Javaheri has also been sentenced to 1 year in prison for the charge of propaganda against the regime.
Branch three of the Revolutionary Court in Rasht has sentenced Zahra Daadras, a women’s rights activist, to 6 years and 1 day in prison for the charge of forming an illegal group and to 3 years, 6 months, and 1 day in prison for the charge of assembly and collusion to disrupt national security.
Additionally, Sara Jahani, Matin Yazdani, Yasamin Heshdari, Shiva Shahsia, Negin Rezaei, Zahra Daadras, and Azadeh Chavoshian have been sentenced to 3 years, 6 months, and 1 day in prison for the charge of assembly and collusion.
