Mostafa Tajzadeh, a political prisoner, praises the people who said no to triviality by not voting.
Mostafa Tajzadeh, a jailed political activist, said in a letter that he sends greetings to fellow citizens who made a significant statement against triviality by not voting.
In this letter, which was published on his Telegram channel on March 6th from Evin Prison, Mr. Tajzadeh stated, ‘As an Iranian who is spending his ninth year in prison solely for criticizing the destructive policies and actions of the leader, I pay my respects to my fellow citizens who voted and send greetings to those who made a significant statement against triviality by not voting.’
He said, ‘I have no doubt that Iranians will achieve free elections sooner than the republic’s opponents expect and will entrust the country’s affairs to powerful institutions composed of the true representatives of the nation.’
Mr. Tajzadeh said, ‘If the Assembly of Experts were elected through free elections and the genuine votes of the people, it could compel Mr. Khamenei to comply with the views and demands of the overwhelming majority of citizens, leading to structural and policy reforms, and if he refused, he could resign or be dismissed if necessary.’
