Mother of Mohammad Hassan Torkaman: I Will Raise Thousands of Mohammad Hassans in His Place

I will raise thousands of Mohammadhassans in place of Mohammad Hassan Turkman.

Kamelia Sajadian, the mother of Mohammad Hassan Turkman who was killed by security forces’ gunfire during recent protests, shared a memory of her son in an Instagram post.

Mrs. Sajadian wrote that seeing Mohammad Hassan’s shoes, which she last saw him wearing, reminds her of when Mohammad Hassan was in his third year of high school. He came home late one night and wasn’t answering his phone. That night, Mohammad Hassan returned home barefoot and injured, and told his mother the story, making her promise not to tell anyone. Mohammad Hassan said that on his way home, he saw a boy his age with torn shoes and in very poor condition. He took off his own shoes and gave them to the boy in need, along with all his money, which is why he had to walk home and couldn’t inform his mother because his phone was out of charge.
