Muqtada al-Sadr reminded Iranians of the Arab Muslim tradition
Muqtada al-Sadr, the leader of the powerful Shia Sadrist political movement in Iraq, issued a detailed statement on the eve of the great Arbaeen pilgrimage. In his statement, he welcomed the pilgrims and honored the status of the leader of martyrs, emphasizing the proper hosting of all pilgrims as a tradition of Arab Muslims. In a part of his statement, which was issued in his capacity as a political leader of a country, he warned Iranians about adhering to Iraq’s important legal and political issues.
