Narges Mohammadi’s Support for the Ekbatan Girls
The wave of support for the Ekbatan girls, whose video of dancing in the Ekbatan complex led to their arrest, continues.
Many women and some well-known figures have expressed their support for these five dancing girls by sharing similar videos.
Narges Mohammadi, an imprisoned human rights activist, also reposted the video of these girls dancing on her Instagram account, writing that singing and dancing by women is a form of presence in the streets with a feminine symbol and desire, and it is a women’s right that should not be suppressed.
Yesterday, a video of these girls confessing in the same Ekbatan area was released. Mitra, their coach, has also been arrested, and her Instagram account has been deactivated.
