Nasser Pakdaman, an economics professor, has passed away

Dr. Nasser Pakdaman, born in 1932, an economist and researcher of politics and culture, had been battling cancer in recent months. He passed away early this morning in a hospital in Paris.

He completed his academic studies in France and taught at the University of Tehran before the revolution. From a young age, he leaned towards the National Front with a leftist perspective. During the revolution, he was one of the founders of the National Academics Organization. After the revolution, he was expelled from the university and forced to leave the country. In France, he taught at the University of Paris and created numerous writings in the fields of politics and culture during his exile in Paris. Nasser Pakdaman actively participated in protest movements against the Islamic regime with his writings and speeches.
