Nategh Nouri: I have not been silent over these years
Ali Akbar Nategh Nouri, in response to the reason for his silence over these years, said there is no silence; I have not been silent.
People from various factions and orientations come to my office.
He added, in these meetings, we have conversations, discussions take place, and I express my views.
In my opinion, this is not silence; I just give fewer interviews or participate less in official speeches.
He continued, it is natural that sometimes I have viewpoints that expressing them might lead to misunderstandings or tensions.
In a situation where there are no clear rules and guidelines for critical discussions in the country’s political environment, such statements can cause disagreements and conflicts among groups.
He said, I do not like these tensions and do not agree with them because these internal disputes and arguments usually become a pretext for hostile media and others to exploit.
